Design Atlas for Metal-Faced Sandwich Panel Explosion Venting: Cleanroom Safety Assurance and Professional Recommendations

The 21J925-2 "Construction Atlas of Metal-Faced Sandwich Panels," to which Shanghai Tengxi contributed, has recently been published. We are pleased to see the atlas contains detailed specifications for explosion venting design of metal-faced sandwich panels. As a contributing unit, based on years of project experience and successful venting cases, we provided the atlas with explosion venting practices for metal-faced sandwich panels in both general areas and clean areas.

In the atlas, for areas with different requirements, we provided the following recommendations:

• For roofs in general areas that require explosion venting, especially to prevent hydrogen accumulation, it is recommended to add supports between the metal sandwich panels and the roof purlins, and fix them using anti-fall triangular self-extruding screws.
• For roofs in clean areas that require explosion venting, we also provide corresponding applicable solutions.
• For exterior walls in general areas that require explosion venting, our recommendations are similarly applicable.
• For exterior walls in clean areas that require explosion venting, we also provided corresponding venting design schemes for the atlas.
